Brief Introduction

The Department of Political Science at Manohar Memorial College offers the subject as an elective subject at Under-graduate Level. The Department of Political Science provides students with the tools for a careful and systematic study of politics, within the scope of a liberal arts education. Students are grounded in factual material about governments and politics and in political philosophy as well. The Department stresses the importance of life-long academic skills in critical thinking, writing, and speaking. The Political Science Department believes strongly that learning is not limited to the classroom but also helps the students preparing for the civil and other competitions. The Department is also running U.G.C. sponsored Foundation and Certificate courses in Human Rights. The students of this Department show great participation in various inter-college and University competitions. The faculty consists of dedicated and experienced teachers.

Academic / Extracurricular Activities

The Department of Political Science organises Seminars, Extension Lecturers and other Programmes every year to enhance academic and literary interest of the students.  In addition the Department also organised Moot Court Competitions every year under the Human Rights course, in which the students from various students of Law from the Universities and College take part. The topic for the Moot Court is taken on the various social evils.
